Penguin 1 Series — The Commercial Kitchen Display System That Doesn’t Go Down

A dead screen on the pass isn’t an IT problem, it’s a service problem. Tickets go back to paper, the expo starts shouting, and covers slow down for the rest of the night. The Penguin 1 Series exists to make that night impossible: food-grade SUS304 stainless steel, full-body IP65 sealing, and a fleet you manage from a desk instead of a van.

Built for grease, steam and the pressure wash

Kitchens destroy ordinary screens. IP65 protection means dust can’t get in and water jets from any direction can’t either, so grease films, steam and cleaning residue stay on the outside of a sealed stainless body. The panel handles full commercial cleaning routines instead of a nervous wipe-down. And with a −10°C to 50°C operating range, you place it by the fryer or at the cold-store exit without thinking twice.

Every ticket lands, every time

Orders arrive from every channel exactly as entered — nothing lost, duplicated or misread on the way from POS to screen. A one-tap completion signal fires back to front-of-house in real time, so nobody relays anything verbally. And because a 1920×1080 FHD panel replaced the ticket roll, modifiers and allergen notes read the same at 9pm as they did at open. No smudges, no reprints, no comped covers.

Works with the hands your staff actually have

The 10-point G+G capacitive touch layer registers rubber, latex, polyethylene and cotton gloves, and stays accurate through wet or greasy fingers — no stripping PPE between tasks. An anti-fingerprint, anti-oil coating keeps the glass readable across a 170° viewing angle for a full service, at 400 nits on the 21.5″ or 250 nits on the 15.6″. Dual 3W speakers cut through extraction noise to announce new orders, changes and timeouts; dual microphones support voice confirmation without extra hardware.

Live in an afternoon

PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt) runs power and data down one cable, so there’s no new circuit, no contractor and no closing the kitchen to schedule an electrician. The unit auto-starts on power. Universal VESA compatibility covers wall, counter and arm mounts with no structural modification. Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 and Gigabit Ethernet hold the POS connection through peak network load, and an octa-core processor with 6GB RAM on Android 15 keeps the interface responsive when tickets stack.

Ten sites, one dashboard

KiwiCloud UEM turns a fleet into a single screen. Devices auto-enrol on first power-up with policies already applied — no on-site IT. Kiosk mode locks each unit to approved apps so nobody exits, installs or tampers, which removes the most common reason a display goes dark mid-shift. Push updates everywhere at once to stop version drift, and diagnose, reboot or reconfigure remotely so most incidents close in minutes rather than a callout.

Cleaner kitchen, smaller paper bill

Removing the thermal ticket printer removes a roll cost, a contamination surface and a consumable that runs out mid-rush. Non-porous stainless steel reduces bacteria harbourage, and sealed construction means the display is part of the cleaning routine rather than an exception to it.
