The Axicon PV-1072 is a compact and easy-to-use verifier designed specifically for retail point-of-sale barcodes. Powered by its own portable display and data collection unit, this verifier operates using four AA batteries, with an option for rechargeable batteries and a charger. A durable rubber cover for the data collection unit is also available for added protection.

The PV-1072 is capable of verifying all standard retail barcodes, including EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, and GS1 Databar, as well as pharmaceutical barcodes such as CIP 39, Italian pharmacode, HIBCC, and Code 128. Its scan width of 66 mm ensures reliable performance for a variety of barcode sizes.

Designed for simplicity, the PV-1072 generates and saves text files summarizing each barcode’s verification results. These files can be transferred to a PC via a USB memory stick for further use or directly printed to a serial (RS232) printer.

Unlike other Axicon verifiers, the PV-1072 focuses on providing essential information. It does not interface with a PC or a PV-1000 unit and offers simplified results in text format. However, if your primary need is to verify barcodes and check their ISO/IEC grade, this device is the ideal tool.
