Opticon SE-214 — 2.1″ Shelf Labels for Dispensaries and Medicines Storage

A dispensary packs a very high SKU count onto narrow shelving, and the labelling has to stay accurate through constant reslotting, supplier changes and pack-size substitutions. The SE-214 is the smallest display in the SE-Range at 72.8 x 35.8 mm — sized for dispensary shelf rails and storage bins where a larger label doesn’t fit.

Locations that stay correct after a reslot

Printed shelf labels go stale the moment stock moves, and in a dispensary stock moves often — new lines, discontinued packs, seasonal reorganisation, wholesaler changes. Driving the labels from your stock system means the shelf position matches the record without anyone reprinting a sheet. Reslot a bay, push the update, and every affected label is correct within seconds.

Legible at small size

At 130 dpi the SE-214 has the finest pixel pitch in the SE-Range, which matters when the label has to carry a drug name, a strength and a pack size in a 48.6 x 23.7 mm window. The fully graphical display and customisable templates let you set your own typographic hierarchy — whether that means leading with the generic name, distinguishing strengths clearly, or applying your own conventions for look-alike, sound-alike pairs.

Find a position without walking the shelf

The RGB locator LED with adjustable brightness can light a specific shelf position on request. In a busy dispensary that saves a scan along a bay when someone is looking for one product among hundreds. Brightness and duty cycle are adjustable, so the LED can be set low enough not to be a distraction in a working environment.

Color coding on the shelf edge

The SE-214R shows black, white and red; the SE-214RY adds yellow. Red and yellow can carry whatever conventions your dispensary already uses — a fridge line, a strength that’s frequently mis-selected, a product under supply shortage, a controlled item due for check. The coding stays consistent because it comes from the system rather than from whoever last printed the labels.
